Ohne Schrauben – eine neue Ära im Holzbau

Without screws – a new era in timber construction

Without screws – a new era in timber construction: Züblin Timber in Aichach/DE is building a student dormitory without screws using X-fix . For the first time, X-fix also connects glued laminated timber and construction beech. The purely wooden structure for the Heidelberg student dormitory, designed by the Drexler Guinand Jauslin architectural firm and planned by Pirmin Jung, does not require any screws . More than 3,000 # X-fix C 90 hold the future-oriented building together. Columns made of construction beech and BSH as well as beams made of BSH are connected with BSP discs to form stiffeners that give the building the necessary rigidity.
